Easter Recap 2015

The boys had a great Easter with a lot of awesome family time!

We started off our Easter festivities dying eggs on Thursday with my parents. On Friday we had a special Good Friday service. It was the first time our church had ever done one, and most of us had never been to one. It was a really, really good service! God's spirit was moving and it was a very sobering time to recap what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Sunday our church did it's annual Easter Sunday sunrise service at 6:45am. We got there around 7:15 after waking the poor boys around 6:15. We had our breakfast and then a special Easter Sunday service celebrating the resurrection! It was a great service as well. What little Monica and I got to enjoy. I'll remind you we woke the boys very early, lol.

We ate an Easter lunch at my parents and did an Easter egg hunt, then went to the in-laws for dinner and another Easter egg hunt. The boys had a great time at both places! Jace was way more into hunting the eggs. Jeriah just wanted to stomp on them. Jace did have to look in each egg before placing it in his basket, lol. It was a great, very looong day!

Also, Monica hit the 24 week prego mark! So far so good! We have yet to come up with a cute announcement to announce the sex. I guess I can go ahead and spill the beans for those who don't follow us on the ol Facebook. It's a BOY!!! We're very excited to have another boy! There was a little disappointment that we will never have a darling girl, but God has a perfect plan for everything! His plan for us is to be the parents of all boys, lol!

Here's a photo recap of our weekend!

Boys Sledding Video

We took the boys sledding at my in-laws a few weeks ago when we had a good snow. They had never really been sledding before! We pulled them around in a sled when we went to Colorado when they were around 9 months old, but that was the extent of their sledding experience. They loved it then and I think for the most part they loved it this time. They cried at the bottom almost every time but kept wanting to do it again, lol. Enjoy the video!

Fun at the Magic House

The boys keep getting more and more fun! I find myself looking forward to getting off work, etc. so I can go home and play with them. They're so much fun!! Most of the time, I'd rather be with them playing than be away from them. Don't get me wrong there are times when I need a break. Lately those seem to be pretty few and far between. They've been such great boys lately. Their little personalities are hilarious! They've gotten into this silly phase. Especially Jace. He walks around the house fake, belly laughing. He'll throw his head back and laugh. It's so funny because it's so fake! He makes a pretty silly face when he does it too!

This past Friday, Monica and I were both off work the same day! Which never happens! So we took the boys to the Magic House. For you out of towners, the Magic House is a place for kids to play. Almost every obstacle, puzzle, or thing for them to play with is educational. A lot of the things work on their coordination and analytical thinking skills. And of course, they can use their imagination! They have a mini grocery store with plastic food and food containers. It has checkout counters where kids can be the cashier. Jace found an abandoned basket full of food and started putting it all away, lol. He's the helper. He loves to help! They have a construction zone, pizza place, library, etc. All miniaturized so kids can play with them and feel grown up. It's a pretty neat place! They boys loved it! They got to run around and go wherever they wanted to, and play with whatever they wanted. They are also fascinated with watching big kids.

Jeriah is the social one. He's the one that will walk up to other kids and smile at them, then laugh with excitement because he's around other kids. Poor little guy has been pushed down so many times doing that. He just wants to say hi, lol. He wanted to run everywhere! Jeriah's run isn't really a run. It's more high stepping at a fast walk pace, haha. It was so cute. Every time we took him to a new area, he would run. He's a climber too, so he wanted to climb on everything. Meanwhile Jace strutted around. When he walks, he struts. Like he's a big shot, lol. He has his chest out, shoulders back, swings his arms and struts. We have no idea where he got it from. It's not really a cocky sort of strut though. It's more an "I don't care what people think" kind of a strut. He just walked around looking at everything, taking it all in.

There was a peg board with lights behind it and different color acrylic pegs to put in the holes. When you put the acrylic peg in the hole, it would light up. Jace could have played there for hours probably. I finally had to show him there was a bunch of other stuff to do or who knows how long he would have stayed there and played, lol. The trip was a blast! We're excited about this summer and getting to take them more places! They absolutely love the water too, which will make this summer a blast! We're gonna have to join the Y or somewhere with a pool to take them to swim a bunch.

Here's a few pics from the trip:

7 Months Old

The boys are 7 months old today!!! It's so hard to believe it's been 7 months. They grow up so fast (sob sob). It is truly astonishing to see how fast they develop. The human brain is incredible! To watch their motor skills and memory develop every day is just plain awesome!

They're getting close to crawling! Monica thinks Jace will be the first to do it so we'll see! I'm anxious to see them crawl! It's gonna be adorable! At the same time there will be some sadness as it means they are growing up even more. AND, it will mean that nothing in the house will be safe with two little monsters discovering their freedom! Haha!

We're doing a photography session in a couple weeks with them! Can't wait for it and to post those pics on here! Now that they sit up like pros, and develop more personality every day, it should be a fun photo shoot! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and it won't be freezing outside. We live in Missouri so it could be 80 degrees and sunny or -10 and snowing. Who knows!! Lol!

Our boys are getting bigger and more adorable by the second!

Our life is amazing and we are blessed beyond measure!! Blessed with two bundles of wiggles, giggles, tickles, and poo!! (I meant they are full of poo, not that they are poo, fyi) Speaking of which, here's some up to date pics of the two bundles!
